To obtain ASME U certificate or PP certificate, a demo vessel is needed during audit meeting. Although there is no limitations on size of the vessel, number of nozzles, layout etc, the demo vessel has to be designed and fabricated in strict conformity with ASME Code requirements. Furthermore, a complete calculation report must be submitted to the auditor for review to ensure the fabrication shop understands code rules and is capable of running calculations correctly. Even if a commercial software is used to run calculations, hand calculations for verification are usually requested by auditor.
We can help you design a demo vessel based on the availability of materials you have to save dollars. If you want to build a vessel for both audit and future project use, we can also do it according to your requirements.
